This final episode felt pretty rushed. Tsuchimikado’s end was pretty unsatisfying too.

Was hoping Akira would finally give Katsura a proper answer, but I guess she will continue to play the tsundere for a bit longer. ^^;

Overall, a mildly-entertaining anime, but nothing particularly special.

I had a pretty good kick out of Bucchigire! personally, but I can't help but agree with you on some points Judgement.

Was REALLY hoping Tsukito would survive so that he would become a 6th ranger to the Shinsengumi squad. One I feel like Ichibanboshi deserves a huge break, and two I wanted to see the man atone by living. But alas, he had to end himself to stop the monster that was controlling him...

And out of all the Shinsengumi and their reasons/backstory to becoming a criminal, we never found out how Bo became one in the 1st place. I look at that big guy each episode and I always ask myself "How did this giant yellow cinnamon roll even become a 'criminal'?"

Even with all that said, is it bad I still kinda want a S2 to see this folks again?

Kirito • 1 year ago

Nah I'm satisfied in 1 season bucchigure is actually really good but there's a lot of things they need to do and explain

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

True but this has been a better shounan than Orient part 2

MeguminExplosion • 1 year ago

Nakama power and talk no jutsu ending. Ugh.

Kirito • 1 year ago

We didn't even see him in action he just burned himself to dust and said they will meet again maybe he's still alive

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

Lol they randomly bring up Sakuya having a terminal illness and then move on from it because they will overcome fate themselves, it felt so shallow.

I thought Ichibanboshi was going to stop Tsukito from killing himself, it was clear what he was planning on doing.

It seems like Katsura will have to continue pursuing Akira as she still hasn't made her mind yet on the proposal, I thought she might have considered it.

Kirito • 1 year ago

Actually it's because of that 1000th kill it made him think that the world will change but it never did so instead he's just gonna count the people he has save now it's actually really that simple all we need is a purpose in what we do in life

Sakuya giving Ichibanboshi his little assassin's hourglass to help hold his sword was hella heartwarming.

Always wondered the fate of Ichibanboshi & Tsukito's Mom if the latter didn't kill her, turns out she did indeed die, just by her own hands. And Tsukito decided to follow her example...

And that was Bucchigire! Tis a shame a lot of people are gonna look at this show and at best call this a meh/mid show. Yeah I know this show wasn't near spotless, an absolute anal critic could probably tear this show apart. But even then I still got a pretty good kick out of this show, and most of that was thanks to the colorful (and colorful-looking) cast of characters. I kill for a Season 2 just to see these guys again, and to improve on areas from this season.

Kirito • 1 year ago

What did they even do nothing his sword didn't even do any damage to tsukito and tsukito is the one who stopped it and he died so that hour glass tying his hand was useless and the glowing of their sword was also nothing it just glows

wwlaos • 1 year ago

Alright, well, shine on, you crazy diamonds.

It was a fun show and I'm glad I watched it. Sogen (the doctor) and Suzuran (the monk) were my favorite characters. Gyataro (old guy with the gun) and Akira were pretty great, too.

Kirito • 1 year ago

There were a lot of good stuff here but felt out of place

5/10

At first I really didn't like the animation, but over time I got used to it, overall OK anime

Kirito • 1 year ago

I love the art style

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Me being late to the comment section on finally catching up/ finishing this, it has been a good series but some parts were too weak and lackluster and like few have mention seem a bit rushed. Aside that this historical like shounan anime is a mile stone better than Orient part 2 in which were that headed.

The VA's were so great and the shipping couple of Akira and Katsura still lingers on but at least we know it's not a ship that's gonna sink 🙏.

In all in all it deserves a 6.5/10 even though there far superior shounan's out there and this a average at most kind of anime that can falter on the in-between with this.

Umut Postblock Karaduman • 1 year ago

If they are going the way how the actual history went. Every single member of the Shinsengumi are going to die during Boshin War shortly after this anime's story ended.

PicHor • 1 year ago

that's prolly why it cut here

Mecazor • 1 year ago

good story, good character development, really enjoyed it. 9/10

Kurogiri • 1 year ago

Didn't Ichibanboshi promise to let himself killed by the red-haired girl after everything's done?
In any case, I want them to get married instead. Also, Akira and Katsura!

Akira Miyako • 1 year ago

Hope they adapt this into a manga. Maybe that way we'll have a more in depth view of the story cuz this felt so rushed

Kirito • 1 year ago

Oh so this is an anime original

kanra • 1 year ago

Bittersweet Revenge • 1 year ago

This was an okay anime.

Agata Jędrzejczyk • 1 year ago

As cliche as it was on some points, that was a pretty fun series to watch. Even if the way the final boss appeared and died seemed kinda rushed.

Kirito • 1 year ago

They didn't even do anything to defeat the final boss even when their weapon is glowing they didn't defeated him tsukito did

Kirito • 1 year ago

Sakuya is my favorite character here

Kirito • 1 year ago

They didn't even do anything to stop tsukito they just starred at him and listen said some words and and tsukito gains control and kill himself

Glinda • 1 year ago

The anime was overall reasonable and interesting, the last episode was a good episode but also sad, and even though it feels like they really rushed the ending - overall it was really nice. So yes, that's what I have to say. that's it .
Tsukito 😢💔

Mike • 1 year ago

I enjoyed it i liked the animation and the characters and the story
being that it (is as basic as many other anime plots)i would forsure watch a 2nd season i also liked the aspect of the little brother sacrificing himself for the big brother its normally the other way around even though it was sad my only complaint is felt too
rushed not enough character development but over all 8.5/10

I came to check the comments to see how many people ended up seeing this anime to the end. You guys are warriors. This and Summertime Render I dropped way back. So terrible

You're either REALLY bored or... new to anime, lmao.

Akira Miyako • 1 year ago

I only watched this far to see Akira and Katsura's development. Sadly we don't get to see them engaged in the end

looserr • 1 year ago

this mofo dropped summertime rendering lmfao

Kira • 1 year ago

Buddy, that anime was dragging sooo hard, holy shit. It started off.. okay? I guess. Then it got insanely generic and boring.

looserr • 1 year ago

Wait what? Thats the part you got put off with? Most people didn't like how much more hurried the story went in the later part of the anime. How did it not seem generic to you at first? I mean, looping, wow, how original. The supernatural and backstory behind the island is what made it *not* generic. I'm not saying you should pick it up again or something, but I guess I'm just confused about your reason for dropping it too.

Kira • 1 year ago

It was generic from the beginning, that is fair. But I always like to give an anime a chance and not judge harshly until later episodes.

I dropped it because jack shit was happening. I wasn't invested in the story, didn't make me feel any emotions whatsoever, no higher intelligent writting or amazing fighting battles to overcome the shit story, it was just so damn basic. I guess that's why I thought it was dragging cuz I was so bored I just wanted to see how it would end, but I just dropped it, lol.
